Tanzania grows coffee mostly on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, and in the southern highlands near Mbeya. Much of it is washed Arabica and is graded by bean size. A rare form called peaberry, where a cherry holds one round bean instead of two, is a well known Tanzanian offering.
Questions
What is a peaberry?
A peaberry is a single round bean found in a coffee cherry instead of the usual two flat ones. Some people say it tastes sweeter, but this is debated.
