Panama, mainly the Boquete region, made the Geisha variety famous after a 2004 competition win. Geisha, also written Gesha, comes originally from Ethiopia. It makes light, floral, delicate, tea like cups with bergamot, jasmine and tropical fruit, and lots sell for very high prices at auction.
