A medium light roast is stopped a little after the first crack has finished. The bean is a light to medium brown and has no oil. It gives more sweetness, more body and some caramel and nut notes than a light roast, but it still keeps a clear, lively acidity. Many roasters call this the sweet spot for filter coffee and for sweet, balanced espresso.
Brews well with Pour over (V60), Automatic drip machine, AeroPress

What is the difference between light and medium light roast?
Medium light is roasted a little longer, so it is sweeter and has a touch more body and less sharp acidity.
Does KAIVO have a medium light roast?
KAIVO uses the terms light, medium and dark. The Leap, at 2 out of 5, is its lightest to sit close to this style.
