The Shevaroy Hills are in the Salem district of Tamil Nadu, in the Eastern Ghats, and the hill town of Yercaud sits at their heart. Coffee has been grown on these slopes for well over a century, often by small farmers, and the plants are shaded by silver oak and other trees. Arabica is the main variety at higher altitudes.
